Information and pictures of Hialeah Park and Race Course (now running quarter horse racing).

Hialeah Park, the world's most beautiful racetrack, first opened for thoroughbred horseracing in 1925. It closed in 2001, but reopened in 2009 with quarter horse racing. The owners hope to give new life to the historic track by introducing simulcasting, poker, and slots sometime in the future.

Hialeah Park & Race Course

Horse Racing - Hialeah now runs quarter horse meets. The races are only 200-550 yards long, so they're much shorter than in thoroughbred racing. The 2009-10 meet has concluded, and racing will return in Fall 2010.
